MOIZ
FAKHRI.
Industrial engineer & data scientist at Georgia Tech. I parachute into a new field, sit with the client until I speak their language, and leave behind a model they can run without me. Seven domains and counting.
01//Thesis
The domain changes. The method doesn't.
I like systems that bend under pressure — supply chains, spreading diseases, the bid and ask of a market. Industrial engineering taught me to model them. Data science is what gives me the receipts.
But the part I actually love is the first week on a new field: the epidemiologist explaining what a case count really means, the fund manager walking me through a rent roll, the city analyst pointing at the blocks that never get grocery deliveries. I learn the domain by sitting with the people who live in it, then translate what I hear into something that runs.
Right now I split my time between two GT labs and head to Invesco this summer for real-estate data science. Long term: quantitative roles where the work is half model, half infrastructure — and always close to the client.
Embed
Sit with the client. Learn the field's vocabulary and what "good" means to them before writing a line of code.
→Model
Build the pipeline and the model — honest cross-validation, reproducible by default, no magic numbers.
→Translate
Ship a dashboard or tool the client can run alone, and explain every decision in their language.

02//Domains crossed
Seven fields. One analyst.
Each dot is an engagement, placed by when it happened. The path is the point — same method, wildly different domains.
03//Deployment log
Every entry is a new field I embedded in.
04//Builds on the side
Things I built with Purpose.
Vesto
A financial-literacy platform with modules on fundamental, 10-K and competitive analysis, plus an AI stock simulator where users pitch to an AI fund manager and get rubric-based feedback.
HiveLink
A social network for dorm residents — real-time event discovery and live presence. An OpenCV + KMeans pipeline converts raw floor-plan images into interactive vector maps.
BuzzSafe
A privacy-first campus-safety PWA — incident mapping, verified profiles and walk-buddy matching for GT. Built on Next.js + Supabase (PostgreSQL + PostGIS) for geospatial queries.
Food Access Dashboard
A Folium + Tableau dashboard visualizing $20M+ in food-access investment across 12 Atlanta districts, with automated ETL integrating USDA Food Atlas and private data.

06//Get in touch
Say hello.
I'm a student — so this is just how to reach me. Whether it's an internship or research opportunity, a question about something on this page, or you just want to connect, I'd love to hear from you. I read everything and usually reply within a day.
